I soft-launched an online catalog of solar and lunar eclipse maps and simulations on the website just now - the “every eclipse” claim needs softening, but you will find everything from 1700 to 2499 on there. Please have a look around if you’re interested in anything eclipse-related!
Each page has a direct link to TPE so you can explore the same eclipse for your specific location of interest.

As 2499 approaches I’ll make a note to remind you to update the list.
Thanks for this, it will be useful. It is good to know that we covered for most of the rest of our lives!
Edit: When I clicked on a particular eclipse, the page for it opened with a map and a pin at one location along the eclipse path. But the path itself, as shown in your example above, did not appear until I reloaded the page, or went to the simulator and then back to the parent page.

Hi Dave - if you recall which eclipse it was, please let me know and I’ll check it out. As you might imagine, I haven’t tested every single event quite yet
It was actually the same one as in your post, August 12, 2026.
However, when I just tried it, it worked. There was about a 4 or 5 second delay before the path showed up, but it did appear. Yesterday it just never showed up. So perhaps it was just a transient server glitch.

Another question - You describe each page having a direct link to TPE. Where is that?; I’m not seeing it on the page for, for instance 8/2/2027. There is a button for “Start Planning Now”. That opens a TPE tab showing the location and time of the last time I used TPE, not the date/time and location for the eclipse. I can manually dial in the date and slew to the location, but the eclipse page doesn’t do that for me. Am I missing a different link that does that?
Dave
Maybe it’s a bit subtle, but you can click where shown:
The “Start Planning Now” is just the generic "call to action” shown on most pages on the marketing site.
Hi Dave - I think I resolved the occasional missing eclipse path bug. It was a timing issue that could result in the path being hidden as the other map tiles finished loading. Let me know if you still see it after a full page reload.
