It certainly wasn’t an outing for photography - a bluebird day, not a cloud in sight - but if you’re curious about conditions up in Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday, here are a couple of shots from a hike I did with my friend Chris up to Emerald Lake yesterday morning.
It was packed snow and solid ice on the three lakes (Nymph, Dream, Emerald) for the whole way. No need for snow shoes when on trail, but traction (micro-spikes) were very useful.
