Link to WX site now displayed in beta web app

The latest web app beta now includes a WX link in the navigation header for signed in users:

It will open the weather beta site and center the map on the primary pin location, match the map zoom (up to a certain limit) and match the selected date/time - if it’s within the last 24 or next 72 hours.

Note - you may need to choose a different forecast model and run to see data, depending on the selected time. GFS extends 72 hours out, but other models only covering shorted periods - e.g. HRRR is only up to 18 hours ahead.

I’ve also opened up this weather category to all signed in forum users - please post your questions and feedback on the new weather features.

Things will remain in active beta testing for at least the next several weeks - I’m keen to get your feedback on how it’s working for you.

Working nicely. For a moment I thought it wasn’t following as I moved from one location on the TPE Beta MAP to another, but then I remembered WX centers on the primary pin location, not the current TPE Beta MAP location and all is well.

Will the WX layer eventually have the MAP 3D WX … buttons displayed above the WX map? Currently there is no way to go back to TPE Beta MAP location from WX; and if we move the map while in WX layer will it go to that new location on the TPE Beta MAP, back the previous TPE Beta MAP location we were at when we clicked on WX, or the primary pin location?

I think it would be nice if we move the map in the WX location, that clicking on the MAP button goes to that new location, and vice versa.
