Quick eclipse report from Villasinta

Saw a beautiful total eclipse in Villasinta, north of León, yesterday evening, in clear but slightly hazy skies.

Excellent Baily’s Beads at C2, with a spectacular prominence at 9 o’clock, easily visible to the naked eye:

Corona appeared slightly yellow, presumably due to lower sun altitude (~9.7 deg) :

The crowd had only one other family with camera gear, otherwise it was only locals from the village itself. A big change from 2024’s tour-group-in-a-field experience!

A fantastic experience, almost mystical! We were on the northern Spanish coast, in Santander, but we had to move inland due to the clouds on the Atlantic coast. We ended up going to Autilla del Pino, in the Meseta plains, after Burgos.
