I would like to use Outlook web version as my calendar on my personal computer. If I log into my MS account to bring up my calendar, will I be able to save a plan to it, or can you only save a plan on a desktop calendar?

It appears if you use Outlook web based, you can save shot plans and edit as needed. In fact one of the calendar options is Outlook.com.
If you choose that option, it will open the MS site, and then you log into your account.
