For the Annular Solar Eclipse this last October we had a number of folks show in the yard behind our 55+ clubhouse to query or Astronomy and Photography Clubs exactly what was so interesting. One exhibit that was fairly easy to manage and popular since no eclipse glasses were required was a solar projector made from either a mono scope or a pair of binoculars

Neat! But is there not a risk of igniting the paper/card that the image is projected onto?!
Well two of us were fire free. I think the risk is minimal.
Our two projectors were quite a sensation; Iām glad to have done it.
