Just published: a brief note on tomorrow night’s moonrise - extreme southerly azimuth and hanging low in the sky all night:
Our plan is to head to near the airport and see if we can get it rising behind. There are only a couple of decent spots from which it can be photographed and one of them is possible tomorrow.
The clouds aren’t looking very cooperative, but we’ll give it a go nonetheless.
We tried it last month - I should have trusted TPE when it said the sightline wasn’t clear. It wasn’t. We found a compromise fallback location, but it was too far away, with too many transmission lines in the shot, and lots of air movement. Oh, and too many clouds also.
