Hi everyone – I released a new update for the web app last night, version 3.18.
It fixes a performance issue that had become problematic since the 3.17 release. If you felt the site was becoming rather heavy and slow on switching to new pages, or on expanding the moon simulator or eclipse simulator, you were not wrong!
After a solid two days of debugging, it transpired that this was directly caused by the error logging framework that the site uses. The issue had been there all along, but the upgrade to the 3D packages that came in 3.17 – more memory, more files – caused it to worsen significantly.
