In the 1.2 beta, you can now load an arbitrary solar eclipse path from the drop down in the controls on the right hand side.
The intended use case is to allow eclipse chasers to monitor forecast weather for a given eclipse (or with respect to a recent eclipse).
For example, you might want to check the weather in Spain in August 2025 against the eclipse path for 12 Aug 2026.
The upcoming partial eclipse on March 29 2025 doesn’t offer such an interesting path for overlay purposes, but it will be helpful to check cloud obstructions around sunrise on the east coast of North America in the days leading up to the event.
The example screenshot below shows last year’s April 8 eclipse path, that will be familiar to many:
